Our Story
🌿 Welcome to Southern Roots Organic Cabinet
Rooted in the rich traditions of southern Louisiana and now grounded in the natural beauty of southwest Idaho, we are a family deeply connected to the land, to wellness, and to the power of nature. What began as a journey of healing—fueled by my 30+ years in nursing and personal experiences overcoming health challenges—blossomed into a passion for creating truly natural products that nourish both body and soul.
At Southern Roots Organic Cabinet, we craft every product by hand, using thoughtfully sourced, organic, natural, and wildcrafted ingredients. We specialize in grass-fed and finished tallow skincare, goat milk artisan soaps, face creams, body butters, serums, and more—all made in small batches with purpose, purity, and love.
Our tallow is dry-rendered in-house from the suet of grass-fed, grass-finished cattle raised by trusted Idaho farmers. Rendered slowly at low temperatures (without salt or water), this traditional method preserves the tallow’s natural vitamins, nutrients, and fatty acids, offering your skin the deep nourishment it deserves.
What makes us unique is our deep love for natural botanical infusions. From chamomile and calendula flowers to vanilla beans and tonka beans, we infuse our oils and butters with whole plant ingredients—never shortcuts. These infusions enhance the therapeutic properties, scent profiles, and beauty of our skincare line, making each product feel like a return to nature.
We also offer a few hand-selected pantry essentials, like our signature organic vanilla extract, crafted with Madagascar vanilla beans and locally distilled Idaho vodka.
